According to a 3-year old, that is what makes time at Ms. Morgan's so great. According to that 3-year old's parents, it is that plus much more! It has been over two years since we first walked in to visit with Morgan and get a sense of her child-care/education program. Suffice it to say we didn't look any further. From the get go we appreciated Morgan's disposition to be honest yet respectful, compassionate yet firm, and structured yet flexible. She has a natural intuition with infants and a passion for seeing toddlers through preschoolers learn, explore, create, and play. The center is clean, cozy, and well set up to accommodate the small group of children who attend on a full- or part-time basis. We didn't hesitate a bit when the time came to send our second daughter to join her sister at Morgan's. Both girls attend two days a week and couldn't be happier. And neither could we. In the words of that reputable 3-year old, "It's fun! And Morgan's a good girl."

Our daughter started with Morgan when she was 17 months old. Morgan was great with her and she really enjoyed being there. It made going back to work a much easier transition knowing she was in such capable hands. We were drawn to in-home child care because it felt like the best of both worlds. She would still be "in-home", in a small environment with only a few other children and get the one-on-one attention we hoped for. But since Morgan's program is curriculum based she also had structure and learning. One of the things we loved most were all of the art projects. At the end of each week she would have a bag full of art and we could sense her self confidence growing as she participated in each project. I also loved the monthly theme's Morgan used. Having a theme that we could expand on at home was a lot of fun and gave us a great foundation to build on. The children were also given an opportunity to play outside and get some exercise which we really appreciated. Morgan's home was very clean and we appreciated the rules and procedures she implemented. I loved knowing that at the end of each week we would get everything cleaned and ready to start all over again. Despite being small and in-home, the Morvant's were extremely professional. We received a handbook, there were rules in place and state guidelines were strictly adhered too. We always appreciated Morgan's attention to detail. If we hadn't moved, we would still be with Morgan and in fact, despite the miles between us now we still consider the Morvant's our friends.

Morgan watched our son for several months from December to April. She was very flexible with us as we worked 12 hour shifts and the days we needed child care changed weekly. Although our son would always be dropped off early, he took to Morgan right away. He had no problem bonding with her despite being very tired (I’m sure all parents can see how rough those transitions can be). We appreciated that Morgan had dedicated space for the children she watched and I know our son enjoyed all the different toys, games, and educational materials. Morgan would always let us know if there were any concerns or any problems our son had during the day. It also gave us piece of mind that all the kids had a set routine including nap, meal and play times. We would recommend Morgan to anyone.

To any parent considering placing their child with Miss Morgan: My family was very blessed to have had Miss Morgan as a part of our two childrens lives from June 2012 to April 2014, providing them with flexible night and weekend care. She started taking care of our oldest daughter when she was 8 month old till now at 2.5 years. We recently welcomed our younger daughter into our family and she has been in Miss Morgan's care since she was 10 weeks old. We highly recommend her to anybody looking for care for their child. Miss Morgan has been very dedicated to the well being of our children and their development, involving our oldest daughter in arts and crafts projects, book readings and coloring projects. Miss Morgan went above and beyond by involving my child in holiday parties, which meant the world to her and us. She also was able to spend time and play at the pumpkin farm during the fall, memories she still talks about today. Leaving our children in Miss Morgan's care was very reassuring to us, since she made us feel like we were leaving our children with family and not "just a provider". Unfortunately Miss Morgan decided to move out of state, otherwise we could have seen our children staying in her care for a long time. We know that Miss Morgan will again be providing childcare and we have no doubt that with her calm and caring attitude and being truly passionate about taking care of children she will be very successful in her future endeavors. We wish her our best of luck. Sincerely, Charles and Vanessa Dayhuff

What a great experience! I felt completely comfortable with Morgan from the moment I met her. Sasha loves going to Octopus Garden Preschool like its her extended family and we love all the great experiences she has had already. There's always something fun going on like holiday celebrations, arts and crafts and games, that even my 10 month old is a part of. I can't believe how lucky we are to have found her.

We can't say enough good things about Morgan! Our son has so much fun and we are confident that he is being exceptionally well taken care of each time we drop him off. Morgan is reliable, professional, kind, and truly gifted with children. She is always giving the kids new and educational experiences and often sends home little finished projects that we proudly display in our home. We are so grateful to have her in NSB!

Safe, fun, and educational – we love Octopus Garden! Our son smiles when I tell him “today is a school day” and loves his teacher Ms. Morgan. We’ve noticed his vocabulary increase since starting school and he brings home a ton of artwork and crafts each month. The school and curriculum are very organized and communication through the monthly newsletters is very helpful. Morgan is a wonderful teacher and mom and her passion for what she does is evident. She is also very easy to talk to and a compassionate listener. I’ve had my son in a daycare center before and what I like most about Morgan’s in-home environment is the more individualized attention and space for my son to go through childhood phases at his own pace (nap time changes, blankie attachments, sippy cup introductions, etc.). I feel good about sending my son to Octopus Garden knowing that he’s getting the attention, education, and socialization essential to his development.
